How to migrate my website to ProfesionalHosting ?

Types of Migrations

Unlimited migrations to hosting, vps, cloud, or dedicated with plesk from any origin. As long as our visible Migration form is used in the client area, it meets the following requirements, there is no migration limit:

  • The domains and/or services to be migrated must be active even in the old company.
  • Have the ftp data of the web and the database (whenever it is used) to migrate.
  • In case of migrating email accounts, have the incoming mail server, email and password for each of them.
  • If the domain is not managed by us, you can change the dns when asked, if you don't know how to do it when the time comes, you can open an incident with your old provider to change them.
  • Term: The migration begins at the moment indicated by the client, in case of failure in the process, the term to complete it is from 1 to 5 working days. Except for specific moments due to excess orders.

Server to server (Plesk to Plesk and Cpanel to Cpanel)

Server to server migrations (only vps, cloud and dedicated) . They are the simplest migrations, ssh access as root will be necessary and it is compatible with a migration from Plesk to Plesk and from Cpanel to Cpanel (the other panels will not be compatible), everything is migrated as it is, respecting all the credentials, the technicians de ProfesionalHosting will perform the migration and check the websites if there are less than 10, if there are more they will randomly check a total of 10. Once the client is finished, they must change the dns of all the domains, if they are not with us, if they do not know How to do it When the time comes, you can open an incident with your old supplier so that they can change them.

  • Term: 1 to 5 working days . Except for specific moments due to excess orders.
Manuals

Migrations outside the above assumptions, for example migration to VestaCP. These are considered fully manual migrations, and you can migrate before 3 months once contracted up to 5 different pages in annual contract and 3 in monthly contract. Once finished, the client must change the dns of all the domains, if he does not know how to do it when the time comes, he can open an incident in his old provider so that they change them.

AMOUNTS OF MANUAL MIGRATIONS YOU CAN REQUEST:

Monthly contract:

  • Shared Hosting: 1 migration of a website, content of databases and ftp, creation of pop3 or imap emails.
  • Vps: 3 migrations of web pages, with their databases and ftp, creation of pop3 or imap emails.

Annual contract:

  • Shared hosting: 5 migration of web pages, database content and ftp, creation of pop3 or imap emails.
  • Vps: 10 migrations of web pages, with their databases and ftp, creation of pop3 or imap emails.

Cost of additional migrations or supplements: 15 +VAT/per Web/CMS. The term to send the migration or migrations is 3 months. Term: 1 to 5 working days. Except for specific moments due to excess orders.

Clauses

  • The client must request the migration, whatever type it may be, through the professionalhosting migration form available in the client area.
  • We guarantee the migration service as long as the origin server is active and we can rescue the original files and databases on demand from us.
  • We will not support manual copies made by the customer as we cannot verify that these files work correctly.
  • In the event that the web has to be migrated again, we will not directly support all the changes made in the destination that were not in the origin server. We will pass note to the extended support department to make those changes again under budget.

Important: the schedule of migrations or help in the process in the migration department is from MF from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you need an urgent or special migration outside these hours, check the cost with our sales representatives.

Who Cancels the Old Hosting?

Once done and verified that everything works as before, the client must request the cancellation to his old provider since he is the final client and the only one who can do it. If there is a possibility, request cancellation at expiration, since the hosting has been paid until a certain date.
